Why is 2-factor authentication (2FA) necessary?

It's an extra layer of security: 2FA adds an additional step to the login process, requiring not just a password but also a second form of verification,  This makes it much harder for cybercriminals to gain access to your account, even if they have your password. Your TherapyAssist account holds sensitive information that we don't want anyone else to see without your permission, and 2FA provides an essential layer of protection.
